Tonight Sierra let us know that she is going to change the world.  "I am going to change the world!" she suddenly announced enthusiastically.  She paused and then she said again "I am going to change the world...I am going to stop all the bugs from eating us....that's the way I'm going to change the world...you see?"  I had to laugh...especially when she asked "you see?"  like she wanted to make sure I saw the logic in her thoughts.  I guess she must have been thinking about it when she was "very lonesome" while I was putting Richie to bed.

I gave Sierra a picture of her head today, and we started dressing it up with her magnet doll clothes. Here are some pictures of her and an audio clip.

After that, Richie woke up and he joined her at the table.  I took a video of them painting together...I"ll post it soon (It's too big a file right now).  The both had a great time painting together.  They even did a large picture together.  Overall, Sierra was painting for over 3 hours and Richie for over an hour (which is amazing for him).

The other night Sierra changed her mind about what she wanted to be when she grows up. She has always said she wants to be a mom and a teacher. From the time she was 2 she has wanted to be a mom and a teacher.

The other night she was talking to dh about mermaids. "Mermaids can talk under water" ... "and mermaids don't have to hold their breath when they're underwater" ..."and they can swim really well" ..."I don't want to be a teacher when I grow up dad, I want to be a mermaid." So there you have it...she wants to be a mermaid when she grows up.

It is hard to hear Sierra in some parts, but there are some cute things in there, so I thought I'd share. I will work hard to get some good audio recordings to post on here.

I've been away from the children quite a bit lately (due to classes and other things), so I haven't seen very much of them lately. I came home last night at 8:30, and my friend was here. She told me how she had went into the toy room and watched Sierra doing a puppet show with two puppets. She said at first she thought that Sierra had memorized a book or something, but then she realized that Sierra was making it up as she went. My friend was really impressed and she said that she, as an adult, couldn't even come up with the things Sierra was coming up with. She said that she wished she had a video camera to record it (I know exactly how she felt).

I did get an audio recording of one of Sierra's stories, but the audio isn't that great on it. I am going to post it here.
